Like so many other people, I assume, I heard of the Sparks from a friend. It was someone who's much more versed in the less accessible crevices of the music world, so I was surprised by how easy it was to fall in love with them.
Ever since then I've told just about everyone about their greatness. And I'm always surprised by the number of people who've never heard of them, considering their career spans three decades and more than twenty albums. Not just any albums, mind you. Albums that defined, re-defined and re-invented whole genres.
Now, finally, someone else has taken it upon them to tell people about the Sparks, and it's none other than Edgar Wright, of, for example, Baby Driver fame. And if the trailer is an indicator, it's going to be the perfect film to go back to the cinema for.
