Although most of the things you can buy in Budapest are now almost as expensive as in the rest of western Europe, the food still is quite a bit cheaper. So we didn’t just devour giant Schnitzels, but also gulped down quite a lot of what some people call ‘the juice’, and still others ‘the drink’ and some maybe even ‘the drinking juice’ (but I seriously doubt that). In an unbelievable act of generosity, I decided back in Budapest to document one of those moments of gulpage for you to see. Defying the impossible lighting and the fact that everyone stared at us because I whipped out my camera in front of our drinks, I made that picture. Enjoy.
