So here it is, my tribute photo. As you can easily see, it’s a pear and half a banana, in quite a state of decay. Not to forget that plate, which is a recurring theme in the work of John Gibarian, known to some as the Master of contemporary photography. As creative as his nickname is the way he chooses his motif. Nevertheless, he always manages to show us what we feel but don’t dare to say: Half a banana and a pear are rotten things to eat, especially when they are almost totally rotten.
