I was made aware of a new WordPress plugin called Linknotes, over at fernando_graphicos’ site today. It’s an interesting concept of links as footnotes, and although I’m not sure how important/useful footnotes are in a hypertext document, I thought I’d try it out. Well, actually the Linknotes entry directed me to yet another implementation of the link footnotes, which I downloaded and activated and here we are. I’ve tried it. If you think this adds to your reading/viewing experience of my blog, why not mention it in the comments to this entry?
I don’t really know yet. I like the old-fashioned way of clicking on links right inside the text. On the other hand, since we’re already talking about old-fashioned, footnotes are indeed even an older fashion than links inside text. So maybe I should become even more old-fashioned. Oh well, I’ll see.
