While I didn't hate this completely, it just struck me as very inconsistent. There were glimpses of the kind of subversive humour that would have let me forget about the lame parts, but they were few and far in between.
In the end this whole ordeal felt like it was written by three different people thinking of three different films, with probably about a thousand studio notes sprinkled on top.
