#filmlog: The Lives of Others, 2006 - ★★★★

Waited twenty years to watch this, because it's period, so eternally timeless, right? Anyway, it was less depressing than I'd imagined it to be, but then also a tad more predictable. I did enjoy the Simpson/Bruckheimer freeze frame at the end.
