I’m boring myself to death here, and so, with quite high a probability, I’m doing the same to you as. Well, I’m still going to inform you that I’ve implemented FAlbum, an extremely useful plugin for WordPress, which allows me to display all the images stored on Flickr right here on my site. I’ve ditched Zen album, which is really quite nice and all that, but I think I should make use of the things a Flickr pro account offers. Right.
Reading the above, I’m once again amazed at how this whole blogging experience has turned a bit postmodern now. I’m blogging about so many things related only to this blog, most of the time it’s just one big self-referential piece of nothingness. Oh well, at least it’s something worth blogging about. And if I wasn’t too posh, I’d now put one of those winking emoticons here. You know, this one
In case you were thinking about sponsoring me with a pro-account in Flickr, well, you’re too damn late. I just sponsored myself. And it feels damn good. Now what the hell should I upload to make use of the 2GB I’ve now got at my disposal?
When you sit on a train for eight hours, you start noticing strange things. For example that woman whose hat looks like something just died on her head.
On my latest day-travel I noticed something I had totally forgotten about over the years, but which is still quite intriguing today. It’s what I lovingly call a “French Fries Machine”. See, as we passed through a train station I saw a machine which, within two minutes, will serve you hot, delicious french fries.
When I was a kid, physically, I sometimes had french fries out of a machine like that, but the machine, located near my school’s bus stop, suddenly disappeared. I was heart-broken and always wondered if maybe they had finally noticed that their way of heating the fries was a bit less than what people commonly refer to as “not poisonous”.
Apparently the machines are back, so either they changed their method or their management. Either way is fine with me. So, although people always tell you to not try and relive the past, I’ll have to taste those fries again. I’ll tell you how it went.
I don’t have much to say today, so I’ll just post a few pictures I shot inside the sleeping compartment when travelling back to Vienna. It was by far the ruddiest compartment I had ever slept in. Which, when used to Austrian trains, means it was really quite extremely ruddy. Oh well. Click the bottles for some gallery fun.

And here’s a reminder to also check out my gallery of photos taken from inside a moving train. Excitement galore!
After reading about (and setting up accounts in) various new and old social and asocial bookmarking services, I’ve now reached the point where I need some new service which will allow me to bookmark sites in all of the services simultaneously. Right now all these services are more or less the same, but I’m expecting that sometime sooner or later one or two of them will take off. When that happens, I want my bookmarks snug in these services.
The Diigo people obviously know about that dilemma, because they’ve already added the option of bookmarking sites in del.icio.us as well. But I need more! I want a bookmarklet which will simultaneously add a site to Blinklist, Furl, Delicious, Simpy and Shadows. And on request to Looklater, in case I want that bookmark to be asocial. In addition to simply adding it, the bookmarklet should be able to add the tags correctly to each respective service and, where possible, add highlighted text as a description.
Anyone?
