What’s on my desk

After submitting a picture of my desk to Despicable Horses, I decided to team up with fellow WordPresser and Viennese student Christoph, to create a new hype: Whatsonmydesk. Unfortunately, it’s not a new hype at all, but it was fun while it lasted. Well, here’s what’s on my desk.

Chicken specialist

I normally don’t hesitate to buy fried chicken, burgers and whatnot from any kind of scnackbar. Regarding the origin of my food, I’m as indiscriminate as your usual daytime radio listener. But yesterday we encountered a picture outside one of these chicken places which could even drive me away:

chicken a la gross
I’m not a huge fan of places who put up pictures of their food anyway, but what the hell? That poster is obviously not intended to attract people who’d like fried chicken, it’s intended to attract people who are looking for fried brains! Oh well, what do I know? According to the poster, that’s the “Chicken-Snack-Specialist” providing us with these lucullic variations of poultry. I won’t argue with a specialist.

Wanted

While walking through the 9th district, we encountered that little graffiti on the wall of a nursing home:

Wanted
I have no clue if that motive’s been around for long, but I think it’s really quite a good idea. Although, I do feel a bit bad for Alfred E. Neumann now.

Podcast mention

During the last episode of the Tim and Tony Show, a podcast I listen to on a regular basis, I was mentioned. People, that’s the first time my site’s name was mentioned in a podcast. Isn’t that something? I’ll now have to go and buy another 20GB of bandwith in order to keep the masses at bay who undoubtedly will now be visiting this site. Or maybe not. Actually, definitely not. Hell, I only need a fraction of the 20GB bandwidth I’ve got right now, so I’ll probably be alright. But go and check out the show, in case you haven’t done so yet.

News Flash depression

I just wanted to check the online TV schedule to see when “The Simpsons” are on, and was greeted by that picture:

I love getting screen-captures from currently running programs, especially when they look like that.
By the way, “The Simpsons” are NOT on, obviously their slot is now filled with the umpteenth rerun of “The Nanny”. Whatever.
Oh, and that gracious picture of course belongs to ORF Television. They are licensed under a Creative Commons license, right?
