iPod Shuffle

Apple’s new iPod shuffle, flash based and tiny, is an interesting thing. It looks like a memory stick, only that it’s white and has that navigation ring. Oh, and you shouldn’t eat it, that’s what they tell us at the Mac site. Go here, look at the picture with the Trident size-comparison and then look at the footnote. I’m still not convinced that this is supposed to be a joke, but if it is, then it is funny. In a whacky kind of way. And if it’s just another warning for people with brains the size of a peanut, then it’s still funny. In a really whacky way.

It is a really strange kind of humour. It wouldn’t be so hard to put an LCD display on the headphones cable, right?

Why can’t they give us THAT instead?

An idea, probably not very original - it could be good as an USB stick. With free earphones.

Yeah, the fact that it doesn’t even have an LCD display bothers me as well…funny thing is, I didn’t even notice when I read through the specs and looked at the pictures the first time. Maybe they wanted it to have a display, but forgot about it, so they had to name it “shuffle”, because you don’t have a clue what’ll be on next.
