Holiday diary - paper terror

Alright, I finished my paper, I sent it off, now I have to redo it. Why? It doesn’t appear to conform to scientific standards. Never try to write a paper using an encyclopaedia. Always use primary literature, never have a go at something the easy way, if there’s the option of the hard way.

PS:I really should get Firefox installed. Internet Explorer just kills me. Is there any task that piece of shit can do without shelling out a hundred error-messages?

gmail success

After about 200 tries, I’ve managed to get into my gmail-inbox again. Whew, and I thought my account was gone. Probably it was the buggy Internet Explorer I was using. I wish I had brought a WIndows copy of mozilla’s firefox. Things would be so much easier.

Holiday diary

Hey there…second day of my holidays almost over, and I’m done with my paper. I did a lot of work yesterday, and resulting from a combination of a strange topic and a total lack of enthusiasm, my paper is now finished in all its mediocre beauty.

I’ve also noticed an extreme rise in search-engine hits on my website. I don’t really know if that’s a good thing, but at least there are programs scanning my blog. Hail to the robots.

Have a nice day

PS: Go to blogwise, dammit. Maybe you’ll find blogs which are almost as exciting as mine.

Work diary - BREAK!!

Well, I’m now officially on summer break. After only two weeks, or ten days, of hard labour at the office, I’m taking my well deserved time-out. The bad thing is, there’s a paper waiting for me to be completed until Wednesday, and I need to study for all kinds of other things. And another downside to my otherwise perfect two weeks of vacation is, that my girlfriend won’t be here for half of that time. So that makes the perfect vacation not that perfect. In fact, it’s a spoiler. I’m really looking forward to a real vacation with her, and if it only be a weekend in London. Well, maybe we’ll be able to do that soon. If we find a place to stay. And I’m thinking of someone particular here.

By the way, my site was added to that blogdirectory. Be sure to go there and generate some traffic for my blog. Or just go there. Or stay here. Or simply turn off your computer and enjoy the absence of my inane babble.

Have a nice day

Trainride

Using Austria’s high-quality trains is always a pleasure. I had a very good night, except that it only lasted about five hours. I got a hearty breakfast consisting of a bun filled with one of the most perverse inventions to ever poison a human mind, raisins. Why the hell people thought that drying up an otherwise perfectly fine fruit would make for a good ingredient for buns and cakes really is beyond my comprehension.
Here’s the remains of my breakfast:

The remains of the breakfast

Don’t forget to come back for my work-diary, starting tomorrow, or so.
